November 20 is GIS Day! What is GIS? GIS stands for Geographic Information System, a computer system that analyzes and displays geographically referenced information.
LNF works closely with ESRGC, the Eastern Shore Regional GIS Collaborative, a Salisbury University outreach entity. ESRGC expertly designed and coded our LNF webpages, as well as all the maps of nursing programs, hospitals, and healthcare organizations throughout the site.
GIS Day has been celebrated since 1999. The data that is collected, stored, and analyzed by GIS professionals across the world helps to discover trends and patterns that impact all of us.
Our thanks to ESRGC and all GIS professionals today and every day!
